Nurses

As many of you know, the treatment of persons who have suffered a traumatic brain, spinal cord and/or orthopedic injury involves a multi-disciplinary approach. We at Toral, Garcia & Franz, Attorneys at Law, firmly believe that it is only through joint cooperation with nurses and other healthcare professionals that we can effectively represent and assist persons with serious injuries & their families along the continuum of care: from the accident scene to a successful return to home, school or work. We understand nurses play one of the most meaningful roles in patient care. Nurses often spend more time with the patients and family members than other treatment team members, giving them the opportunity to gather valuable information helpful to physicians, therapists and case managers thus creating a complete picture of the patients’ needs and services necessary for their recovery. Nurses play a vital role within the treatment team by ensuring that the medical chart is properly documented as to erratic patient behavior and personality changes, which families often report, indicative of a traumatic brain injury and by communicating these behavioral concerns to other members of the medical team. We strongly encourage nurses to partner with us for the mutual goal of recovery of your patients/our clients; by working together with you, we will assist them in reaching optimal recovery, therefore enabling them to live a life filled with meaning, dignity, love and support. |
