David J. White

Biography
David J. White was born in Arlington, Massachusetts. He received his Bachelors of Arts from the University of Notre Dame Cum Laude in 1969. He obtained his law degree in 1973 from the University of Notre Dame Law School. During 1971-1972, Mr. White studied at Notre Dame’s London Center for Legal Studies concentrating on international and comparative law.
After graduation in 1973, Mr. White served as a law clerk on the New Mexico Supreme Court for Justice Joel L. Martinez. In 1974, he began a clerkship for the Honorable W.O. Merhtens in the United States District Court in Miami, Florida. Following that clerkship, Mr. White spent 21 years practicing trial work with such firms as Frates, Floyd, Pearson, Stewart, Proenza & Richman; Beckham, McAliley & Proenza; and was a founding member of Proenza, White, Huck and Roberts.
In 1996 Mr. White relocated to Palm Beach County and spent 12 years as a shareholder at Searcy Denney Scarola Barnhart & Shipley in West Palm Beach. Mr. White has tried more than 100 jury trials, has been AV rated for over 25 years by Martindale-Hubbell Directory, has been selected to be among the Best Lawyers of America, Florida Super Lawyers, South Florida’s Top Lawyers, and 100 Best Trial Lawyers in the State of Florida by the American Trial Lawyers Association.
Mr. White has lectured and published in the specialty of personal injury litigation. He is a member of the Florida Bar Association, the New Mexico Bar Association, the International Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, the American Board of Trail Advocates, and the Florida Justice Association. Mr. White has served as a member of the Florida Bar Grievance Committees for both the 11th and the 15th Judicial Circuits.
